Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 pro: all the latest trends and what is expected.

 

The latest tech gadget on the tech lately talking about the Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 pro are on their way into the Mobile Market.

With the latest update from Google, its latest pattern for pixel phones are pretty reliable, which means the phone market will be pretty be expecting a new series of flagship pixels this year. Which means the Google pixel 8 and pixel 8pro will be made available this year 2023.

Diving into the previous phones lunched by the tech giant the Google pixel 7 and Pixel 7 pro are two powerful devices, with outstanding performance, possibly two of the best smartphones the tech giants have ever produced. Although the two smart phones where lacking some strength in some areas which led to opportunities of dragging both phones down. This surely wouldn’t have been a setback if the competitors where not outstanding. Diving into the smartphone market the Apple iPhone 14pro came with a new design for the first time in years, and not withstanding a recently released form Samsung which lunched their Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra which possibly is one the best smartphone ever released.

Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 pro – Design.

Rumours having it that Google won’t be making any serious upgrade to the pixel 8 series. The overall design of the pixel 8 will still remain as the same that of the pixel 7pro, with google focusing more on rounded edges again. With a little amendment of the design, there will be a little increase of the round corner profile, but with a little increase in its width. Manufacturing into designing of smartphone cases are confirming the approach, with leak images of cases echoing the previous designs and although the tech giant has not confirm the rumours.

Since it been like this for the pixel line, one should always expect a dual-tone approach with glass on both sides with a metal frame extending to the camera bars at the back of the device. But despise all this minor changes it could be notices that there is a minor change with the camera bar on how the lenses are been housed. Instead of the normal dual cut-out design that could be seen in the pixel 7 pro, the Google pixel 8 pro only seem to have a single, pill-shaped cut-out that houses the camera and the sensor.

With the current smartphone trend, the camera bar should have a high resolution main camera, and an ultra-wide camera, with a periscope-style telephoto lens on it. The leaks also identify another feature which is the round cut-out below the LED flash, in a leak vie which revealed to be a temperature sensor. In the video it could be seeing a model removing their glass and moving to smartphone sensor close to their face to take a reading. If this leak is true, it’s an odd inclusion, and we are not sure why such a nice sensor world be worthwhile on a mainstream flagship phone. This feature seems to be a pixel 8pro feature as the sensor doesn’t appear in the leak of the pixel 8.

Rumours have it that the Pixel 8pro comes with an FIR thermometer sensor. While some rumours have it that it could be for thermal photography. It also comes with a Melexis MLX90632 sensor which is used for high precision, non-contact measurement. This typical include body temperature, which means it can be used to measure the temperature of a person.

Other than that, not much changes could be noticed, especially in regards to the thickness of the bezels.  The front cameras (selfie camera) is also the same as the pixel 7 pro. The Google Pixel 8pro screen looks flat, rather than having curved side of its predecessor.

The pixel 8 pro display appears to be around 6.52 inches and could be an OLED display panel with at least a 90Hz refresh rate. The phones also has a dimension of 162.6mm by 76.5mm by 8.7mm.

The Google Pixel 8 pro have smaller form factor than the former models design by the tech giant, which serves more appealing to smaller phone patterns. The smart have a dimension of 150.5mm x 70.8mm x 8.9mm, which is smaller than its predecessor the pixel 7’s size at 1.55.6mm x 73.2mm x 8.7mm. Meaning the height was reduced by almost 5mm, and it’s also 2.4mm narrower too. If this leak about its dimension is true that means it will be more comfortable and handy.

Meanwhile another leak from a Twitter user @heyitsyogesh gives us another beautiful dimension of how the pixel 8 pro is going to look like. According to his tweet, the smartphone will have a display of about 6.7-inch QHD+ LTPO OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. This feature in the new smartphone makes its slightly larger than it’s previously mansion 6.52-inch size, which could eventually be for the regular pixel 8 since this was also said with a 90Hz refresh rate.

Google Pixel 8 pro batter and charging review

In the previous predecessor of the pixel line the pixel 7 series suffered a setback in battery life and speed. Thankfully, the tech giant appears to have made an upgrade to these two things for the pixel 8 pro, according to rumoured report the pixel 8 and pixel 8pro will get a better battery life and charging improvement across board though no to a varying degree.

The pixel 8 is reportedly having a 4, 485mAh battery, while the pixel 8 pro should have a 4,950mAh battery. That’s approximately an increase of 215mAh for the pixel 8 compared to that of the pixel 7. Although the pixel 8 pro battery is just 24mAh larger than that of the Pixel 7 pro.

Charging speeds are also expected to be faster. The report claims we’ll get 24W wired charging for the Pixel 8, plus 27W wired charging for the Pixel 8 Pro — an increase of 4W compared to the 20W and 23W charging offered by the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, respectively.

Going by how the tech giant have been lunching their smartphones, we should be hopeful by the end of 2023 probably around September or October the pixel 8 and pixel 8 pro will be released.
